Motion to Suppress Granted

May 9, 2018

MOTION TO SUPPRESS GRANTED, on a multiple count complaint concerning one class G Felony. Our client was seized and subsequently searched while sitting in a vehicle parking lot at night in Outagamie County. The officer approached our client not knowing anything about him and when he attempted to exit his vehicle was ordered to comply with the officers commands. Attorneys Carroll and Fredrickson Motioned the Court for Suppression of the subsequently obtained evidence as they knew the officer did not have cause to command their client to do anything. After an evidentiary hearing with the officer and after briefing the issue to the Court, today the Court ordered suppression and found that it was unreasonable for the officer to command a civilian in that manner without cause to do so. Great result Attorney Carroll and Attorney Fredrickson!
